I'll tell you what I'd do- first, I would sit there feeling like I just got hit by a truck. Then I would do the classic dinner break-up thing and throw a drink at him. I would then storm out of the restaurant and start crying convulsively as soon as the restaurant door closed. Then I'd probably call my mom up, because that's what I usually do in crises. I think later on, after I calmed down a little, I would call the bastard up and tell him what an idiot he is. I would NOT, under any circumstances, do anything weird like follow him around or stalk his new girlfriend, because a) everyone's lawsuit-happy these days and the last thing you want is to be slapped with a restraining order, and b) that will just make you feel like you've been stabbed when you DO see them together, so it's sort of masochistic. You know what? You're probably sick of everyone telling you there are "other fish in the sea," and "he's not good enough for you," but the bottom line is, for 3 long years you thought he was the one for you, and nobody can tell you how to erase the hurt he caused. Just throw yourself into any hobbies or interests you may have and ignore the male species for a couple of months or so, but PLEASE don't give up on them altogether just because of this guy!!

Try to salvage whatever pride you can.
Dont let him get the better of you.
It's hoprrific and I can only begin toimagine how horrible you feel.
Go home, take a few days off, cuddle up with your favorite teddy bear and cry. Cry alot.
Rent a few movies and get a few friends to drop by just to check on you but right now you need this time to regroup and recuperate

At least he was honest ... I'd be pissed off ... hurt and upset ... but in the end I feel if you know you're not happy with the person you're with ... why drag it on ... he could have stayed with you and cheated the whole time ... instead it sounds like he did it the mature way ... what way would you want him to break things off ... if he's not happy with you ... why would you want him ... !
He explained everything .. he found somebody else .. what more do you need ... !

hey! at least he is being decent about the whole thing. he could be like all these other jerks and just lead you on or let you find out by following your gut instinct. Hello. be grateful for the closure he has given this relationship.
