No.It's the not knowing that kills me.I think that if you don't get good news quickly then it's probably bad news.

When I was younger I totally misunderstood that phrase as though it meant there was no such thing as "good" news, ie there is no news which is good - all news is bad.
Not an answer I know but I thought I'd just share my stupidity with you anyway...

No news is bad as there maybe soething going on you don't know about.
If there is good news you are told but no news is not good but maybe okay.
