I lost 40 pounds by doing moderate exercise , such as walking and riding a bike, and cutting back on what I ate. , I would still have pizza on Friday, , but I would eat one slice instead of two or three. I am a big sweets junkie, and to still have my sweets, I would have a small scoop of frozen low calorie yogurt instead of a big bowl of ice cream.

I don't believe in fad dieting because eventually, you're going to want something that isn't on the the menu.

I found that just by eating healthier foods in smaller portions, I lost weight. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen, and you'll have a better chance of keeping the weight off. I did.

Good luck to you.

Stop dieting and adopt a healthy life style. I have never felt healthier and stonger until I adopted a healthy life style. Here is what works for me!!

I am very active. I have been running for the past 5 years. I started off slow, walking at first then walking and running and finally I made it to running. (It helps clear my head) i also hit the gym for light weght training. This will help you lose weight too.

I drink lots of water. This was very easy for me since I do not liek coffee or soda. If you drink juice be careful of how much you drink a day. Try watering down your juice. It helps cut down your sugar intake

I eat tons of fruits and veggies. They are so easy too pack into your bag and go. Plus there are so many types it is eay to mix itup. (not canned fruits)

I eat everything wheat. Make sure to check the label for ingredients and look for wheat or wheat flour. If the ingredient is enriched wheat flour, put it back that is not a healthy wheat product.

I eat cheese and no-low fat yogurt. To get my dairy.

I have stayed away from fatty meats (pork) and red meat. I eat mostly turkey, chicken, and fish.

Try to bake every meal rather than fry. Also use olive oil instead of vegatable oil. If you are sauting veggies, chicken or whatever use a little corn oil in the pan.

Also watch your portions. don't over do it. whatever amount of food you usually have cut it in half on your plate. EX: if you have 4 spoons of pasta have 2 instead.

Eat dark green veggies. It helps you go to the bathroom.

I eat within an hour of waking up. It kick starts your meatabloism. I also eat every two hours. teh trick is to always feed your body every two hours so your body never gets to that hungry where your tummy hurts point. When this haoppens your body goes into panic mode and starts to eat mucle leavign the fat. That is not what you want.

I suggest trying to detox your body. you will drink some kind of tea and it will help you go to the bathroom where you willlose some weight and feel less heavy in your intensines. (you only do this at the very begginng of your life style change. I do not recommend you try this more than once unless you speak with your doctor)

these are just a few tips of mine.

Realize that this is a work in progress. it will take time to lose the weight so don't get discourged and disappointed if you don't see results right a way. Good luck!!

The best advice I can give is from my own experience. I lost 65lbs.

Start exercising - This will increase your metabolism (so you burn more calories) . Don't over do it. Start out slow, with something that seems easy and makes you feel good afterward. Walk a mile three times a week. Do 10 pushups and sit ups. If you try to do too much, you will give up.

Eat more often. Eat 5-6 times a day. Eat small portions so that you are not hungry but you are not full. Again, start slow. Reducing the amount you eat by a little. Make it something you can manage.

Make healthier food choices. The higher the glycemic index, the harder it is for your body to break it down. Choose whole weat breads over white breads. Choose oatmeal instead of frosted flakes.

Try to avoid sugar. Choose diet soda over regular soda. Choose splenda over sugar for your coffee.

Make small changes each week. Make the changes manageable and you will stick with it.

The best way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat healthy foods and exercise. Losing weight quickly is not healthy and usually results in regaining the pounds back.

In order to stay trim and healthy you need to change life styles and stay with it for the rest of your life. Calorie intake of 1500 a day combined with cardio will cause the excess pounds to start dropping off. When you hit a plateau, you can adjust your calories down to 1200 and finally 1000. Once you are at a good weight for you, continue the same routine at 2000 -2500 max calories per day with plenty of exercise to maintain.

the best advice that i can give you is to eat 5-7 small meals a day, healthy things like lean meat, salads, fruit, etc and make sure that you exercise 4-5 days a week. this really isnt a quick fix, but unlike a crash diet, if you do this you can keep the weight off and it is actually better for your body....really your only supposed to lose 2 pounds a week, so if you can do that and continue to keep it off, your doing awesome

Just eat less more often and get cardiovascular exercise at least 30 min a day. I might suggest taking some form of martial arts for exercise like kickboxing or muay thai...worked great for me.

Start getting experimental with healthy foods. Learn some tasty bar-b-queing and cooking tips. You can have lots of flavor and still keep it low in calories and fat. Chicken and fish are great meats to start using sauces and tasty cooking recipes.

It's all about calories. In order to lose weight you need to eat less calories than you burn. It's that simple. Exercising burns calories, allowing you to eat more or lose more weight, depending on how you look at it. For the average person, 1500-2000 calories a day will allow you to maintain your current weight. You need to exercise or eat less to lose weight. There is some great software out there to help you learn how to eat right. I recommend software made by www.dietpower.com. It helps you track what you eat, how many calories you burn exercising as well as track weight loss.

Good luck!

I think a good way to loose way is through exercise. If you don't like gym's and such try going for long walks almost everyday. after two weeks you will see a difference. But don't eat more than you do now. Because if you increase what you eat while doing exercise you will compensate the calories you burned earlier.

Eat healthy, exercise atleast a half hour to a hour a day, avoid junk food ie. candy, carbonated beverages, fast food..etc. Eating less red meat could help to. Diets normally help at the time but as soon as you stop with them you gain all the lost wieght back.

you can't go on diets if you are extremely overweight they are not for long term you need a program like weight watchers or you need to see a nutritionist because you need to change your life style not just diet... that is the only way you will lose it and feel good nd keep it off ... good luck it's a hard thing to do but not impossible
