There is no legal requirement to ever change your name. It is a matter of personal choice. However, I would suggest that you be honest and open about this decision to your next future husband. Some men are quite dead set against marrying a woman that won't take their name. The question at that time will be, is it a dealbreaker for you?

I would say if you are planning on this one not working out then keep the last name you have now, or dont get married til you are sure.

You can keep your last name or add your new husband's name with a hyphen.

I think that you are able to keep your name of preference but it might need to be registered thru the courts. Try your local courthouse I am sure they could give you the legalities of it.
