hydra on gta san andreas?

ok i got a hydra but how do u make it go? whan u press x it gose up when its up how do you go forward????

I at first thought the hydra to be a piece of crap. When I finally learned how to use it i felt really stupid. The right analog stick controls the jets. Pushing up on the knob moves the jets from thrusting vertical to horizontal, and vice versa. You can see the jets on the sides of the jet. A caution for you. Before you move your jets gain some altitude first. If you are to low you will crash into some thing. Also don't fly to low around the border of Los Santos. Those huge trees around that area can't spawn faster than you can fly. So you might find a cluster of trees suddenly popping up in front of you. You will die.

The hydra has two modes for want of a better term, you can go up and down, but to actually fly forwards you need to push the right analogue stick forwards to put into 'forward' gear, you should notice as the screen jumps slightly when it changes.

To go back to 'up and down mode', just pull the right stick back again.

push the right analog stick until the little blue jets are horizontal. Press R3 to raise the landing gear, and hold x to go forward. Hold R1 to target (Wait for it to go red) and press L1 to fir. Pressing circle releases flares and triangle gets you out of the plane. square slows you down. Push down on the right analog stick to turn the jets to vertical to land easier
