yes because many of us admire and look up to them for their athletic prowess and accomplishments and the proof is that when they behave badly their commercial product endorsement value suffers.......

To me if you're waiting for someone to be a role model in sports you're an idiot. Role models should be a teacher or a family member, not an athlete. It's not fair to put that on an athlete, they just play a sport they're not here to raise your children!

No, kids need a more realistic role model than atheltes or actors. They need something they can aspire to be like teachers, doctors etc...the best role models for children are the parents or care givers. These are the people that will ACTUALLY mold a persons behavior and way of thinking.

NO they are not role models...the are athletes....

role models are someone closer, your mom, dad, grand parents, sibilings....mentors....

but keep the athletes and stars out of the role model thing...
