If we can't pay rent by Monday, we're getting evicted and our land lords mentioned something about having our wages garnished, which if I could afford to have my wages garnished then I'd be paying rent...So, I just was wondering if someone out there knew the procedure???

No they can't and you can fight the eviction and spend another 6 months there rent free. call legal aid. they help with landlord-tenant issues..

The eviction and any garnishment action are totally separate issues and require separate court actions.

I'm pretty sure you would have to go to court before that would happen.

You can't get a free ride, so you need to figure out how to pay this guy, before your wages are garnished. Suck it up.

No, garnishment is a separate court proceeding, it is not automatic.

landlord has to get a verdict against you first, filea satisfaction of judgement and then garnish a percentage of your paycheck each pay period

You would have to go to court first and your landlord could have to hire a lawyer so it could end up costing him more than you owe.
