Yes. So, most HPTs suggest women take the test again in a few days or a week.
Every woman ovulates at different times in her menstrual cycle. Plus, embryos implant in the uterus at different times. So, the accuracy of HPT results varies from woman to woman. Other things can also affect the accuracy.
Sometimes women get false negative results (when the test says you are not pregnant and you are) when they test too early in the pregnancy. Other times, problems with the pregnancy can affect the amount of hCG in the urine.
If your HPT is negative, test yourself again in a few days or 1 week. If you keep getting a negative result but think you are pregnant, talk with your doctor right away.

It's could happen, I know it did to me. I took 2 tests within 2 weeks, both coming up negative and that was with my period 1 week late the first time and 2 weeks the second time. Finally a third test about 2 weeks after the second one said yes, and after that doctor confirmed me a week later at 5 weeks. Because me are so accustomed to the myth you can only get pregnant in the middle of your cycle it makes people think no. In my case, I actually got pregnant the day my period was due. YOU CAN GET PREGNANT AT ANYTIME. My doctor says thats the biggest myth in medical history. The middle of the cycle is the MOST fertile days, not the only fertile days. Good Luck and wait it out. Meanwhile, act like you are....no drinking or anything like that.

if you did have sex before you started missing your period then you have greater chances of being pregnant. however, please make sure that you have a regular menstrual cycle, otherwise, we can't really determine if you are pregnant or not based from what you wrote. the pregnancy test is not always accurate as you may have wrongly administered it or misinterpreted the results. if you are not pregnant, the fact the you are worried about being one because of your missed period, can also create pregnancy panic symptoms. this is psychological in nature and you might be unaware of it. overall, my impression is you are afraid to get pregnant. as the others said in here, it is best to see a doctor who can do the test for you.

Yes it's possible. Those things arn't 100%. Wait a week and take another one.
Also think about how things are going? How late are you? and how regular is your period? Are you stressed out? beacuse that can cause changes in your period. What's your weight like? being to thin or not getting enough nutrition can also cause it to change. Are you on any birth control? Some different kinds can cut out your period too, especially with Depo.
In the mean time while waiting try to relax and get in to see your doctor or find out if there's a helth clinic (or if you're really lucky a sexual health clinic) in your area if you want to get an expert opinion.

I would take another one in a couple of days just to be safe, my period is never late either, but i knew a week before my period was due that there was a possibilty that i was pregnant, i had what i thought was a UTI. i took 3 pregnancy tests 3 days before my period was due, they all said postive, so... maybe you are maybe you arent. Sometimes missed periods can mean you are stressed, change in your diet, etc. If you are reall anxious to find out go to your doc. good luck

Yeah, you could still be pregnant. Sometimes it could take a while for a home test to come out positive. Try taking another test in a couple days, or go to the doctor to get a blood test done, they are more accurate and can usually detect sooner than a home test. Good luck.

Yes. Home pregnancy tests work by detecting a hormone that becomes present in your urine when you are pregnant. It could take several weeks for the hormone to build up enough to be detected, depeding on the accuracy of the test. If you still have not begun your period in two weeks, I'd try again. Your results should be accurate at that point.

Yes. I was pregnant and my home test didn't say positive until I was 2 weeks late. I think it's a hormonal thing. I took a home tests several times in that two week span and they all said no. I would say to go to the doctor they can tell you for sure.

My pregnancy tests were negative until I was 5 weeks pregnant. Then it barely showed on a home test. I went to the doctor and I was definately pregnant.
