I can't tell you if God is real or not, that is a choice entirely left up to you. What I can tell you though is that nothing has really changed. Now that we are entering an age where our media is becoming more global, and information travels more rapidly, we get more reports from distant places faster and more complete than ever before in our history.

The world will never end. Mankind might, but not the Earth. At least not for another 5 billion years or so, at which point our sun will expand and our planet will be engulfed in its outer layers. But, I believe mankind will be long extinct by then either by evolution or by anthropogenic or natural disasters.

At any rate, people have been predicting the "end times" since the beginning of time. It's paranoia, fear and self-delusion that drives their fanatical hype. Don't let yourself be a victim. Don't let yourself succumb unto fea. Rather understand that if there is a God, and if he/she is all loving, then the end of the world is a blessing and nothing to be feared.

I haven't seen any thunder storms or tornadoes. Maybe God only cares to warn Americans?

Well maybe you should believe. I don't think the world is about to end just yet, storms and such have been around since always, we just didn't had the media to show us all the damage or we were simply not living in areas where these things happen (we were just a billion or so in 1800). But God is giving signs to those who mean to believe.

as you advance in years you'll begin to understand that Mother Nature (God or whatever) doesn't really give a fig for what we mortals think or do .. the elemental nature of the world will correct or adjust itself with its own consequences .. all the storms etc., just accept them, my friend, it's all part of life's rich tapestry .. and as with regards to whether you believe in a god or not ... well even I can't answer that, but I do hope that "May the God you believe in, believe in you"
and finally remember that today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday, nothing has happened and nothing will .. you're alive, be happy and remember that others of more years than you have asked this question before and will after you and I have gone

I believe in God but not warnings. It's a bunch of hype. Where are all the Hurricanes that were supposed to hit this year?

Its a bunch of government funded scientist trying to get more funding for their research hyping up all these catastrophies. If they can predict global warming (hundreds of years into the future) how come they missed the Hurricane forcast for this year.

Calm down. Focus on living.

I do believe in God sir / mam, however what we see in our lifetime is a small snapshot of the earth's total cycles that it goes through. Even though it is unfortunate that so many people lost there lives due to many natural diasters recently, it is enevitable, has happened before and will happen again. It is just the way this system is designed to work.

yes... the bible says that storms will get stronger and closer together as the end of time comes closer like a woman's birth pains get closer until the baby is born.

Yes, it's god. You are correct. In fact all those thousands killed by Katrina and the tsunami? All god. Happy now?
