I think you should treat college like it's a regular 8 hour per day type of job. For example, make your day run from 8 AM until 5 PM with an hour off for lunch. Then, whenever you're not in class, don't treat it as "free" time, instead treat it as study time. Do that math homework. Read that novel for Literature. This way you're sure you get the homework done, and also you'll have your evenings free.

Well, i am only in 9th grade but this is what I do: I make flash cards on things That might be on a test! Such as vocab, and basic & important details. Sometimes I will read through chapters before a test! I like to study in silence. Study a couple days before a test! Review every night even if you dont have a test. Review your notes! This is so then when you do have a test, you dont have to rush and learn everything all in one night!

I also make little pre-test for myself!

Goodluck!

i had that exact pb my first year,i didn't learn during the year just in the exams(that's not a good idea) but if i had 4 days to study for an exam i divide the courses in 3, i study them by heart meaning i read it until i could say it without looking in the book and i did the exercises in the evening and in the last day i repeated all of them; in lack of time you can do without the last day; i had great results

the biggest piece of advice I can give is go to class, nothing will help you learn better than going to class, and take thorough notes. I read less than half of my textbooks but I go to every class and take notes and check the course websites and I'm doing well, though reading the textbooks is still a good idea. And working in groups helps too, but don't rely on others so much that you don't actually learn the stuff yourself

I would always take notes in class and re-write them a few times to study. It keeps you awake and alert in class and is also a great study tool. I had a 3.8gpa... it works.
