Like if I have seperate catagories on the top of the page, ex. different sizes. How can I get that row to roll down so I can I always see it even if my spreadsheet is more than 2 pages. Thanks

select the entire row just below the header row and then in the menu bar click on Windows and select Freeze Panes.
this will lock the row(s) above it, so they stay in place as you scroll down

[In Excel 2003 only] it works for left to right (columns) as well, but you have to choose the column and row to freeze at the same time. Once you've chosen only row or column, you'd have to choose unfreeze panes and start over again.
Otherwise, you'd have to use split panes to achieve bidirectional cell locking.

Highlight the row below your headings and click on Window->Freeze Panes. Then the heading rows will remain at the top of the screen as you scroll down.

Contrary to previous answer, you can do both horizontal and vertical at the same time if you use Split Panes instead of Freeze Panes.

If you don't want it to print and only be visible, you can freeze the panes so when you scroll down you can always see the top line with your column headings. Highlight the row you want to freeze, click on window (the actual word at the top) then freeze pane

Go to the top right hand corner of the spreadsheet, right on top of the arrow facing up there is a thin bar. If you put the mouse arrow on top of it there is a split, at that point click and drag down and now you can see the heading when you are at row 1000. I hope it helps.

click on File...go to page setup...click on Sheet tab...select "rows to repeat at top" (click the funky little box) Highlight the row you want repeated and click on the funny little box under the "x" and close the dialog box, you're done. Good Luck!
