You're both right. If you love those sales and she's embarrassed at being there, can you go without her? Can you make a deal with her that you would like to go alone since she's uncomfortable with them? Then, you can meet up later and go on with your lives. Personally, I love those kind of events. Unfortunately, they don't exist in Southeastern Brasil. But, in any case, I wish you the best,

Enjoy. Perhaps you can convert her if she finds something fab for next to nothing - go to charity shops in a good area. I have the same situation, love a bargain, why pay £20 for something if you can get it for £1 in a charity shop? My husband doesn't agree, would never wear 2nd hand. His loss. But he can't deny I've bought some good stuff really cheaply, eg mirrors, leather bags, and the best fitting jeans ever came from a jumble sale for 20p. I've learnt from him to be discriminating, not to buy stuff with holes in etc.

Most of us buy from car boot sales and Ebay

i love car boot sales ,i went to one a couple of weeks ago and got a little cat figure that was still boxed and i wraped it up for my granma for chrismas , i am not tight with money but i have kids so i am on a budget ,
