"I thought everything was pos" - very sorry my friend but that isn't the case. Life ain't the disney movie it's made out to be.

The term "A4" is only a man maded term to describe certain dimensions. Replace the length by X and the breadth by Y and it's equations rather than all this fairy philosophical garbage. (Not slagging proper philosophy in which some of the greatest minds have worked on).

Here's a couple of things which are impossible; decreasing the entropy of a closed system, determining both the velocity and position of an electron in space at the same time...

well if your thinking 2 dimentiuly then it is impossible, BUT if you think 3 dimentully for a minute the only way to split a sheet of a4 paper so that you have exactully 2 sheets of a4 paper is to split it down its side.

Hope this helps

best wishes

Paper is pulped and squashed flat, so that it's all matted as opposed to layered (as you would find if you were cleaving gemstones). So the natural line through it is higgledy piggledy and not straight.

I guess if your paper was handmade and the pulp was applied in layers, it would be possible.

If you had A4 toilet roll, however...

It is possible. You slice the paper very carefully through the thickness of the paper ... hey presto ... two pieces of A4 paper.

Laminate it, then pull the two pieces of laminate apart so that half the paper is attached to each.
