hmm, have i told you lately that I love you, Kat? I love you, I love you, I love you... and soon I will pick up the phone to call you and i will tell you over and over, as I always do and always will, because i love saying it to you, it is my voice speaking into words what my heart is singing to your heart, and i know you love to hear me say it, i know my voice resonates in your ear as the sweetest song, as does your voice to me.. you pretty voice, i go weak in the knees when i hear you say those magic words to me.. and the magic is not in the three words.. the magic is in our love, my love, and the words are our bodies, minds, hearts and souls finding every possible way to express our love....

With my kids absolutely. Not only via phone but in person too. With todays world the way it is & accidents happen all the time. I've almost lost my oldest in a serious accident. Even though we had argued that night when she left I wanted her to still know that I love her even if we were upset at each other. That night I got the phone call from CHP that she was in a single car roll over 5 times slamming into the orchard trees after ripping 2 down. A car was coming at her with the head lights off around a corner. To avoid the vehicle she moved out of the way & lost control. It would have hurt more to bury her without telling her I love her.

I always do. You never know what day may be the last for you or your significant other. What if one of you died later on or the next day before you had a chance to talk. I always make sure I say it and then we sometimes text each other with an I love you here and there.

With everyone unless it's someone I don't know. We all say love ya before we get off the phone down here. When we end a email we say hugs or love ya. Never know if that is the last time you talk to that person.

Nope, I can't tell you the last time my husband said he loved or I loved him. We don't say it to one another because we were both really hurt in the past. My ex-fiance told me he loved me all the time-he cheated on me with a 17 year old (he was 23) and got her pregnant and her father made him marry her or he was going to file statutory rape charges and my husband's long time girlfriend called him one day and let him a message on his answering machine that she didn't want to see him anymore (they were together almost 4 years). So we don't say it because we feel that those 3 words are meaningless.

Definitely! Even with some of my friends. Love does not equal sex like so many people think. Love is the caring of another person. Express your feeling, we don't know if we will be here tomorrow.

Yes. I actually do that with my best friends by accident. One time I said it to a telemarketer just out of habit. He actually said I love you back! The phrase loses its meaning after a while it seems...
