Hold the piece of paper between two hands and with the edge facing you so that the paper is at right angles to your line of sight, imagine splitting the thin edge in half through the paper. This would give you two thin sheets of A4.

it depends on how thick the paper is real cheap paper is a lot thinner then a good quality paper you want paper weight of 150 or more and it should be possible

it isn't impossible,highly improbable,but not impossible,if you could take a 25micron piece of paper,slice it in half (in profile)then you'd have two 12.5 micron pieces of paper.

what makes you so sure that it's impossible??? get a super fine razor and split the paper edgewise. try it.
