A lot of car models aren't offered in stick shift because the market is very limited. Most people are too lazy to want to drive a manual transmission. In my opinion, you don't drive an automatic - you just steer it.

Saturn is competing against the Accord and the Camry V6 Engines. Neither V6 Engine comes with a stick shift and no one would buy an Aura with a 4 cylinder engine due to lack of power. Americans want power - not thriftiness.

Because you can get a fully-loaded Aura, while at that price the Camry and Accord have less than the base model. V6 gets better city MPG, but less highway and idling. Its also WAY more fun to drive, and can make the difference in the packed mid-size class. Stick shift is out-dated and is now only found on sports cars. The Aura is hands-down the best little sedan, and is way more refined than anything else on the road. I guarantee this will be the runaway hit of '07, all it takes is a little marketing

I believe Brian and Win Myra, meaning they are suitable. motor vehicle transmissions at the instant are not all geared the comparable. the place one motor vehicle won't bypass properly in 5th kit at a low velocity, yet another motor vehicle is going alongside wonderful in that kit at that velocity. considering your motor vehicle drives properly in a intense kit at low velocity. It probable revs greater then is suitable in intense kit at highway velocity. So its a commerce off. My Miata is like this. i canpersistent around in 5th kit and do because of the fact the better the kit the slower the engine is popping in RPM. the fewer RPM the engine is popping potential the fewer gasoline you will burn and the fewer placed on on the engine. Your husband is right (i understand that sucks, yet what are you able to do). He won't be in a position to be incorrect each and all the time you realize. the element is, on the line the engine probable needs a a ways better kit. that's why Mazda went to a 6-velocity transmission in the Miata after 1997. I think of the 6-velocity would upload yet another 5 mpg on the line. i'd choose to discover a 6-velocity trans for my Miata. Its not lots relaxing highway utilising with the 5-velocity because of the fact the engine is Revving too intense. between 3500 & 4000 RPM in my Miata. So the rule of thumb is, for superb gasoline milage shift to the optimum kit ASAP as lengthy because of the fact the automobile continues to be drivable in the better kit.

It's tough to say. Do you know if the Opel that it is based on is available with this combination? If it is, I don't see why the Saturn couldn't be offered this way too.
