Decide for yourself it's lucky both ways, and that will be true for you.

I've always wanted to start a 'CHUCK YOUR CHANGE' day. Maybe make it on the day income taxes are due. Imagine walking around, with change all over the place. And if you leave it for someone else, you'll feel wealthy (which you are).

I find it lucky-ish when I find it tails up. I hate heads-up! I dunno why it just makes me mad.
