Imagine you were not actually there, but your friend was obviously upset about it. She was too nice and too upset to do anything about it at the time that it happened. The other issue is that you do not know who assaulted your friend, but you might know other people who could possibly identify the assaulter. What would you do?

if your friend and you are under age i would talk to your friends parents. but if you are over age, report it to the police tell them everything you know and mostly encourage your friend to go to the police with you. even if the police can't do anything about it at this point at least there's a police report next time the attackers attack at least the police can call you/friend to identified or testified against the attackers.
if the attackers are not stopped they will continue to hurt other innocent women, because you and your friend were paralyzed from fear. that's no way to live life specially here in the USA - viva USA!

ask her to identify them or ask the others who they are and once you know go to the police and notify them. They need to know so they can be prosecuted to the fullest extent . Don't we have enough of these types running around free without adding to it. Get your friend to speak up or they will do this to someone else if they have'nt already . Good Luck and God Bless.

I had this situation in high school....my best friend got punched in the mouth by this a**hole, and she wouldn't tell me who did it. So I found out on my own who it was and kicked his stupid a** right there in the hallway. I received a month of In-school suspension and 3 weeks of after school detention, but it was worth it! That a**hole never hit another girl in that school. Oh, that still makes me mad all these years later. Grrrrr.....

If I knew that she really wanted something done but was too scared herself, I would take care of it somehow. Otherwise I'd stay out of it...depends what she wanted.

I know how your friend feels. i was in her situation all you can do is be there for her until she wants to talk. just be patient.
