its 12:15 pm now. i have to be at work at 10:00 pm. i know a persons body burns away one drink of alcohol every hour, that being a 12 ounce beer, 5 ounces of wine or 1 shot of whiskey. i have drank 4 shots in the last 15 minutes. if i drink for 2 more hours how many more shots can i consume and still be completally sober when i get to work?

you do the math babe i graduated years ago my brain is shot after all that schooling ,it needs a break

The shots you've already had will not be burned away until 4:15pm. That leaves you 5 hours and 45 minutes to burn anything else you drink now. So, you can drink 5 3/4 more shots within the next 2 hours.

According to your figures, you should be able to drink five more shots. However, I would not advise dirinking five shots of whiskey in two hours, as it is unhealthy and if they are all drank at the same time it may take longer to burn off than if they were spaced apart.

you can have 16 more shots and three quarters
the last shot at 9.00 p.m
