A concierge will make a lot more. It is considered to be a more skilled job. How much really depends on the location. Some cities will pay much more than others. In Denver I think I made about 6-7 as a receptionist at a Hyatt, I don't remember if we were 4 or 5 stars. The concierges made about 10-11. This was maybe 6-7 years ago, so it might be about a dollar more an hour now.

I would say receptionist is probably making around 8 to 9 an hour. They have more to do than just answer the phone. Its tough dealing with the public.
