Seriously - Saddam kept Iraq safe for him and his supporters using all the techniques that Bush and his cronnies want to use now -- from torture to wiretapping. I agree, that's a fair way to keep a country safe. Then, why not just bring the expert on that area? Saddam, as brutal as he is, kept Iraq safe from terrorism, and he really understood the definition of "with us or against us."

OK... put the bong pipe down and step away from the computer! LOL!

Torture and wire tapping? The torture part is utter nonsense. The wire tapping only goes on with special approval processes that the Iraqi people did not have the advantage of, and was NOT done for the sake of National Security, but for Regime security. BIG difference!

Don't think for one moment that Clinton, Carter, or any other Dem President did not engage in wire tapping. This is not confined to a Bush initiative... it is just more in the forefront due to current events and media coverage.

No.

But the Redster Congress is proposing a National Saddam Day to replace Labor Day.

Saddam has done more for American business than anyone else in this Bush administration.

Go big Red Go

Sure. Kiss and make up. People forget that we supported Saddam for how many years during the Iran-Iraq war? It reminds me of Dr. Frankenstein; now we want to destroy the monster that we created! Pathetic

I would rather keep the few freedoms we have left as americans than have a dictator as brutal as Saddam as head of homeland security and believe me I know what we have is nada. I went through hurricane Katrina and because of homeland security being tied together with FEMA the disaster relief was a year late and billions of dollars short.
