All I asked was if a particular "prophet" who founded a certain "religion" in the year 622 C.E. in Mecca, was indeed a pedophile, rapist, and murderer, who spread his twisted cult by force.

Aparently this violated "Community Guidelines."

What do you think?

I agree that offensive stuff should not be allowed.. but it seems on here that if you try to offend conservative, Christian, or Jewish beliefs, that is OK. It also seems that other things that offend me (and others) such as fabrications, violations of copyright law, etc that are clearly against the stated rules of Yahoo but are allowed to go on even after being reported.

I think Yahoo should apply the standard equally

I think this particular prophet was a pedophile, rapist and murderer, and that his followers are just as bad.

You can see evidence of their crimes and attitude all around the world.

Unfortunately, Yahoo Answers is very arbitrary with their censure. If you ask them for a reason, they give you a macrod stock answer from the use agreement without ever saying anything specific to your case.

The community guidelines are not enforced equally! Guess yahoo is afraid of the wrath meted out by the muslims and the illegals...

You are free to observe the cultural origins of a given religion, but you have to do so in a non-inflammatory manner.

I happen to agree with most of your observations, but you should still try to be polite.

How are you going to win people over to your side of an debate if they won't listen to you?

Someone must have been offended. Yahoo doesn't arbitrarily censor questions.

I'm sure someone found your question quite offensive (not sure why) and reported it repeatedly until yahoo answers did something about it.

Well, Yahoo's all about not offending people and chances are you did. If you havn't yet figured out what is acceptable in sociaty and what is not, good luck surviving out there.

imagine asking the question about Jesus... you would be reported SO MANY TIMES YOUR HEAD WOULD SPIN...

it's all the same... you can't ask that stuff about religion.. fair or not ... and of course it offended someone...
