I live in Torquay - jobs are quite difficult to get and a lot are low paid, mostly in the hotel industry, if you have the right qualifications you can land a good well paid job.
Most areas are nice Hele an area to avoid - it is called Hell locally.
In the summer it gets over run with tourists - most locals stay away fro town during summer but winter is nice.
Clubs, pubs and resturants are pretty good with loads of variety - all in all it's a nice place to live beautiful scenery great weather, sandy beaches, palm trees.
