my registry is all over the place , some parts of programs and files are missing , some say they need optimizing , some are disabled, active x not working. , some network settings out,Is there a program I can run?

If your computer will boot up, do a "System Restore"! Choose a restore point prior to the virus problem.
If computer does not boot, try booting in "safe mode", then do the "System Restore", again prior to the virus problem.
If the Restore is successful you'll need to reinstall any recently installed applications!
Its important that you choose a "restore point" before the virus problems started!

save the data you want then restore your computer if you dont have the restore cd call or email who ever made you computer.

insert your operating system cd and that should restore all the files that were lost and needed...

yes of course the setup from your xp install cd and before that format .exe
