It all depends on the type of relantionship you have with them. If you respect each other and won't do anything to cause any problems then that's a good way to go. But if you feel like is going to cause problems before you even start then is most likely they will be. Were i work the owner has his kid working with him and at times i just wish he didn't. Some times you get more work done when you have someone that wants to work other then just having someone come and pick up a check.

i dont think so. my dad has his own business and thats all that has ever worked for him has been family hell i work for him no drama here. i mean there will always be drama between boss man and employee but nothing that hurts the family

I've never seen it NOT cause drama. Other employees will not treat you fair because your employment is by a different set of standards.

Depending on the work environment I'm sure it could if another family member makes more money than you doing the same job.

well, I DON'T KNOW . I did it for 8 years but in the end it is the reason that i don't have a job now.

i worked for my dad...it was ok. but you have to follow the same rules as the other employees and not expect special treatment.
