If we cannot abide by the UN then maybe we would be better off not having it. It is not the best to be arrogant about it, it needs to be abided by or abolished. We cannot have it both ways to suit the needs of any country. I will abide for this but not for that...that is just crazy thinking on the part of any country.

I agree. The U.N. is sort of like the old League of Nations; just a debating society. Most international law has no enforcement provisions. Sudan has been doing the most awful things in Darfur and the U.N. is only finally starting to move on this.

There needs to be a stronger United Nations.

That is the reason the UN is so impotent. It is up to each member to abide by the rules and to enforce the rules. No one, with the exception of Britain, Australia, and the USA and a few other countries want to make the necessary commitment for the UN. You have corruption running wild. Why should any country submit to the UN when the UN is so impotent?

Its a known fact that the UN is a corrupt organization full of very questionable people. We learned of its uselessness during the build up to Iraq invasion. It was a legit argument the and it still is now N. Korea is another prime example of its ineffectiveness. We as the US should leave the UN and let the world deal with there own problems. Without our money.

We need a UN type organization but not what we have now. The UN has proved to the world that they are not only ineffective but they are corrupt to boot. That is why we need to back John Bolton.

the U.N is an extra debating class. The people who are in that ineffective debate class are dictators and useless pawns to other countries. Should we have a U.N yes....but it needs to be better.
