Because BC means Before Christ and the Romans of 48 BC wouldn't have known who Christ was as he had not been born let alone made into a Deity then we can safely say the coin would be a fake!

Because the date would not have read 48 BC at that time.

A coin with that date would be based on an event (the birth of Christ) that hadn't happened yet.
