Clomid is the medication Clomiphene citrate. It is a hormone used to induce ovulation, to correct irregular ovulation, to increase egg production and to correct a condition known as luteal phase deficiency. Clomid is typically taken in doses from 50 mg to 200 mg, and taken days 5 - 9 of your cycle. It is the first line drug used for ovulation induction in patients with PCOS and other ovulatory disorders. Some women have virtually no side effects. Others do, but they are more frequently related to emotions. Side effects may include mood swings, hot flashes, breast tenderness, and thinning of the uterine lining. About 10 percent of those who use Clomid will have a multiple pregnancy (twins). Clomid can cause hostile fertile mucous and thins the uterine lining in over 30 percent of the women who use it. The hostile mucus kills sperm, and the thin uterine can prevent implantation or cause an early miscarriage.
I took Clomid for 3 months (100mg each) and did not ovulate while on it. Now I am on Metformin which is used to regulate cycles and help promote ovulation. My doctor said that Clomid does not work for every woman. It didn't for me. But it does work for a lot of women though. My doctor suggests not using it for more than 6 months because initially Clomid was made to be a birth control pill. Hope this helped, good luck

It induces ovulation, even if you are ovulating it can still help. You only take it for 5 days, usually cycle day 5-9 or sometimes 3-7.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant here https://tr.im/lEh7J
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

I take it for 5 days a month during my period and it encourages my eggs to grow to to the correct size to (hopefully) fertalise, you should not take it for any longer than 12 months. You have to get scans at the hospital at least once a month to see the progress.
