Add hydrochloric acid to lead nitrate, both in solution, and filter off the white precipitate of lead chloride.
Then wash it with cold water, and dry the powder between sheets of fresh, dry filter paper.

Add NaCl solution to Lead Nitrate, mix, filter, wash with cold water, and place in an evaporating dish in a oven over 100 C for an hour

There is an advanage in the above persons procedure in that unreacted HCL will evaporate out. I would have to find my qualitative analysis text to see if the solubility of lead is the same in an acid solution as in a neutral ph.
