Yes. The Communist Party USA has supported the Democrats for many years. This is because, being practical, they realize that the Democrats are somewhat closer to Socialism than the Republicans are. It is not practical to run a Communist Party candidate because he/she would never be elected. Members of the CPUSA also become active in the Democrat Party caucuses to influence its policies. They generally don't identify themselves as communists when they do this, but some of them are more open about it, at least in private. I have had a number of Communist Party friends over the years, and at times I have agreed with them on some issues; this is why I am familiar with this strategy.

They have supported the dems since the 70s. This is because the libs are the ones that want to take away our liberties and freedoms, which is a communist viewpoint.

confident, I agree this is baffling. Unions shop helping the do-not something democrats like Senators Levin and Stabenow right here in Michigan. Have they stored a single vehicle industry job? NO. So what are they getting into return for helping those democrats who shop attempting to do away with their weapons and that shop scaring each and every of the agencies away?

The Democrats are not communist and do not support communism. However, they tend to support socialist views and socialism is closer to communism than capitalism.

Nothing new.
Remember when Sadam and Arafat cast their support by announcing their hopes for a Kerry victory? That says enough for me right there. Never support a candidate that our enemy supports

Judging by Bush's news conference today, he is changing parties. Why is he changing his marching orders so drastically from Iraq?
Work with our allies? Not going to invade? He is a flip-flopper. Thankfully at this point.

2004 was the first time they didn't have a name on the ballot for President. They put their backing in John Kerry.
