Sometimes they ask stupid questions just for fun. Sometimes they ask stupid questions because they are in fact stupid. Sometimes the question may just be worded incorrectly and therefore it sounds stupid when it actually was supposed to be asking something different. Those are all possibilities, pick your favorite. XD

We should not forget that there are children who get on Yahoo Answers to post questions. Some might not even know what an "internet" is, even though they are obviously using it.
I never judge a question by its content, because I realize most people just ask questions either to 1) learn or 2) to get attention. Some might even post questions just to see how we react to them...just the way you did =)

NOW.. I am wondering if your question isn't dumber than dumb. The best way to learn is to ask questions. People ask questions mostly because they genuinely don't know the answer or they are looking for other ideas. I will always do my best to help if I can. :) Elaine
