Yes God is good. Does God allow bad things to happen, yes. But that's like me watching you cooking and seeing that you're burning it. I tell you that it's burning but you ignore me and go on with what you're doing and at the end you have an uneatable meal. I'm not any less good of a person just because I didn't put more effort into stopping you. it was your choice to do what you did. That's God and humanity, except on a global scale.

It's possible. First consider, does He exist? If so, why do we suffer? If not, is it really a great strike of luck that the world is, as perfect as it is?
God may be good, because He may have given us life, but He may be bad because our lives end. Or maybe He is bad because some people's lives begin, and perhaps He's good because their lives end.
Do you get my drift?

Yes, God is good. He does not do bad things to us, he allows us to have free will. He gave us the perfect example to live by (Jesus), and allows for forgiveness when we do not abide by his laws. We just have to repent and ask for his forgiveness.
