when using the downy ball is all the fabric softener supposed to come out in the laundry? i pulled the top all the way up like you are supposed to. but now all the liquid is gone. please help. what to do if that is wrong?

all the downy should come out of the ball in the wash, but you are only supposed to fill it to the fill mark that matches your load size

Can't quite figure out your dilemma. All of the softener that you put in the ball is supposed to come out in the wash and rinse cycle. What is your problem? Sounds like you used the ball just fine.

Yes, there is a weight inside that will drop once the spin/rinse cycle starts. You do need to refill the ball for every wash. Also, if your load is too big, it may get caught inside the clothes (in a sleeve, etc.) and not spill out.
