This is a tough one, and a very personal one.

First, you have to be absolutely sure that he will not want to father children in the future. While several source say the procedure can be reversed, they will also say that the success rate of the reversal is low. And the longer you wait, the lower the chance of a successful reversal. So be sure.

Next to consider is that while when successful, the procedure is absolute, however there have been cases where the patient "heals", and is able to continue to father children. However, this is extremely rare.

Once the procedure is complete, and verified successful, there is no drop in drive, and some say there is increase due to loss of anxiety about the ability to father children.

There are at least a few internet sites to gather information. Just google the procedure name.

Do you mean having your husband get a vasectomy? If so, I did it and if anything my wife's and my love life improved since we did not have to worry about pregnancy anymore. The operation is no big deal and a man will NOT BE IMPOTENT afterwards...if he is it is all in his head...

Hi luv!

If you're talking about a vasectomy, the only difference noticeable is a 10% drop in sperm/semen volume.

At least, that's what an ex-BF told me and my hubby!

The out come is that you two won't have any kids. And the out come for you is that he will be coming inside you and you don't have to use any more protection.

Enjoy the sticky fun.
