Do you mean bring Abner to salvation? If so, Keep believing- knowing it is God's will 'that all men may be saved' Keep praying for him that the Holy Spirit will 'nudge' his heart to accept Christ.
If you mean God will bring you Abner as a [boy]freind, you know, God can do anything. Once you know and trust that God is good and has your good in mind, it becomes very simple. I've had various experiences with this very area and the best thing I've learned is this:
One of two things is going to happen:
1. God brings you Abner and you get into a good relationship. or
2. God has someone even better for you than him-though this is often hard to imagine, I've found it to be very true.
However, don't forget to seek God first- He wants to be your best Friend and Father and Lover in the whole world!
