its an image because it was scanned as an image not as a doc with text so i dont have the text option... a free solution would rock.

You should be able to select the text tool and highlight it, select copy and copy it back into word. The full package does make it easier, especially those documents that were scanned in and not distilled as the full software has OCR capability

Sometimes you can just open the PDF document select all (CTRL A) and then copy into your word document (CTRL C) and then (CTRL V).
If you still have the data from the scanned image it will be in the form of a bit map. Very often there is a program bundled with the soft drivers for the scanner called "Text Bridge" which is specifically for converting the data into a word format. The conversion is not 100% perfect so you should check it afterwards for errors.

I think you just have to right click on the adobe acrobat icon (the unopened doc), then go to 'preferences', then do 'open with' and choose Word. Once you're in Word, you can save it as such. I've done this with other types of docs so imagine it would work with your doc too.

Buy and use software called 'PDF Converter 2.0' supplied by 'Scansoft'.
This program can be used independantly or have it sit on the Word Toolbar where it will automatically activate if you open a pdf document.

Hello,
The scanned document is like a picture file, you need OCR software like readiris, may have come with your scanner driver.

Good Luck,

G

I guess if it's just text, select the text and copy and paste it into Word. Then you can change the font and size if you want to.
