Depends on how much you can spend.

Fiance - this should be something special that you know about him
Father in Law - tie, wine

If they play golf, I would take the both of them out for a round of golf.

i bought my husband a leather wallet with some $$$ in it for his birthday and for my father in law i got him some flannel PJ's and a t-shirt with his grand kids pictures on it he loved it or at least that's what he told me lol
