Interesting. But one might aswell say that we all going to die at some point.
I guess 8 billion people in the next 100 years is nothing compared to the amount of chickens being beheadded each day on a conveyor belt for our chicken nuggets and how many animals are dying each minute for our own pleasure such as wearing fur, eating burgers (just to get a heart attack), etc.
Sorry, went a bit off topic with this one, but the 8 billion doesn't mean anything to mean anything at all to me. What matters is the dignity we will live and die with...hopefully.

There is an 85 per cent chance that world population will stop growing before 2100, according to a new study reported in Nature. The main message is that the population could rise from its present level of 6 billion to about 9 billion in 2070, then sink to 8.4 billion in 2100. This is one billion fewer than a United Nations estimate. - not sure where you got your info but hey-ho bubba - if you're right the gods are on there way down with some full on hell-fire and brimstone!!! - happy days

Are you seriously suggesting that I will not live for ever ? That one day, some time in the next century, I'm gonna shuffle off this mortal coil ?

Well, frankly, I'm shocked.

But then, I ask myself - how do you know ? I could be immortal. After all, I've got away with it so far (139th birthday last month)

Nah, load of superstitious nonsense. you can do what you like, I'm gonna live forever

That's assuming that the world isn't destroyed in the next few years before the population gets that high, or people come to their senses and realise the world is vastly overpopulated.

Yeah right.
So it actually makes no difference long term if you murder a few people because they will die anyway.
Probably not an entirely effective defence in a court of law

Well cryogenic-ally freeze my *** and shoot me into space!
Where I'll float for a couple hundred years with all the other space coffins! Then Spock will come along, drag my corpse to planet Genesis and resurrect me!
