I just had a baby 2 months ago and this is what my doctor told me... Regular exercise is safe at the begining of a pregnancy as long as you don't push yourself and you drink alot of water. If you start to feel dizzy, stop. Make sure you are warming up and cooling down. You shouldn't be doing heavy lifting of any kind. Later on in your pregnancy you want to stay away from any exercise on your back and easy up on your routine. Swimming is safe and easy, but you'll want to wait until you have been checked by the doctor to make sure everything surrounding the baby is okay (no way for water to leak in or out).
I did normal exercises but for less time than when I was not prego. My baby was born big and healthy.
The best thing to do would be to get a blood pregnancy test done at your OB/gyno. They will be able to give you advice specific to you.
If you are pregnant, congratulations!

Any exercising you were already doing will be fine in the beginning as long as you are not high risk. I wouldn't do anything extremely strenuous, but if you were used to running 3 miles a day then you should be able to continue. However, when you do go to your doctor and get a confirmed positive result, they can then instruct you as to what you should or shouldn't do.
I have never heard of lower back pain as an early indication of pregnancy however.
Many websites can also offer you advice...

Best to find out if you're pregnant first . . . that will have some input as to what kind of exercise is best for you.

Also, I'm told that skipping a period can sometimes be attributed to things other than pregnancy - namely stress. If you've moved recently, that could contribute.

Find the facts out before you take too much action, though. Always best to KNOW the worst than to speculate the best.

I think before u start exercising u should take a test and then if u r pregnant well do safe exercises and if not well just do ur same old routine--but take a test first.

well, if you're really pregnant then the best answer on your question can give only your doctor. the first trimester, as usually, isn't safe. I think that you don't have to do any physical exercises (maybe just walking) and be safe!

Take a test and talk to the dr, but if you exercise regularly it shouldn't be a problem, just scale back a little.

If you haven't already been keeping up a regular exercise routine, you definitly need to talk to your dr first either way, talk to him/her. Find out for sure if your pregnant.
Women now-a-days don't sit around as much when they are pregnant, they remain pretty active. therefore, we are healthier. But we still need to be concerned for our little ones.
Good luck.

You need to call a local gym and speak with a fitness expert.
