how do you prevent it from happening?

Not any weirder than what men are throughout their (our) lives.

You can treat some of the symptoms of menopause, or you can have your ovaries removed (forcing an abrupt menopause); or, you can live through it the way all of us live through the changes in our bodies that occur as we age.

Menopause can cause sleep disturbances, hot flashes, weight gain and irritability. It does not cause a person to become crazy or do weird things.

LMAO

No, it's not true. Some women (not all) use PMS and peri-menopause and menopause as excuses just to act like b1tches. Women (and men) are responsible for their actions at all times.

If a person's emotions or physical well-being is out of control, then they need to seek help instead of treating their problem as a license to act out their rages and frustrations on others.

Of course a woman will do crazy things. Why should menopause be different than any other time in her life?

I've been going through it for almost 5 years now. I did experience mood swings which I hadn't experienced since I was pregnant. I never had PMS thank God. Little things would make me angry. I knew I was being irrational, but couldn't stop myself. Hormone therapy is one solution, but it can make you more suseptible to breast cancer so that wasn't an option for me since it runs in my family. Speak to a doctor & weigh your options.

Is it?
I have not heard of such things...
It is surely a biological process with physical strain ( & drain)
but in some religions women are not allowed to enter places of workship or touch holy scriptures during periods.
Logic..I have none....

There is a hormonal inbalance that may take time to get used to, or require supplements to control the mood swings and hot flashes. She does not go crazy, but she may be irritable or uncomfortable.

Everybody is different. I had absolutely no symptoms. Most women do not do weird thing or get irrational. Your doctor can medicate you for any problems. My mother had minor symptoms as did my grandmother. All my friends have been through it and they suffered minor discomfort.

Ask me about it.When my mother was going through that phase, she really used to get mad at me all the without any reason sometimes, which was not her normal self. She used to have severe headaches, pain in the joints and irregular periods.

I heard they get really moody and sensitive. I don't think you can really prevent it. It's just your hormones going crazy I think. There is probably something to calm it down though.
