Frank Zappa....the arena didn't bother to take down the glass from the hockey rink....his song list was horrible....he just sat in a chair while the rest of the band went off into mindless jamming....we got up and walked out and asked for our money back but they told us we'd have to "ask Mr Zappa about that"

countless the superb have been 70s Patti Smith, 80s Pretenders, and a Ryan Adams instruct a pair years back. a pair of the main staggering exhibits I ever observed have been by utilising bands who on no account relatively made it, like Robin Lane and the Charbusters around 1980 or Marshall Chapman and Jaded Virgin, overdue 70s. Or Lone Justice, mid-80s, who i think sorta made it earlier breaking apart. countless the worst/maximum disappointing have been Everclear and hollow. large on CD, undesirable stay. Ramones have been disappointing in that the music exchange into became up so loud i could not pay attention it; easily could not pay attention something for an afternoon or so after. a pair I expected to be uninteresting and shocked me have been a 1972 Carole King instruct and a Dylan instruct in the mid-80s. I refused to bypass to a Gwar instruct with my spouse. won't be in a position to remember if she cherished it. :)

Well.......... I'll thell you about something else your question reminded me of..... I'll tell you about the times I saw The Ramones and Sonic Youth, (years apart, of course) and got the chance to watch both bands f*uck up real bad.
The Ramones really messed up (actually, it was mostly Johnny's fault) at the very end of Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World, on that LAST note, the kind of crescendo one. It was a horrid screech of feedback and quasi-dodecaphonic notes all strewn together.... talk about bad guitar skills....... you could tell it was NOT what they were going for at all, and Johnny got the dirtiest look from Marky, while CJ stared at the floor and Joey just stood there and stupidly tried to cover it all up by stupidly saying 'yee-ee-eeahhh' into the mike. How embarassing.....
The Sonic Youth f*uck up was AWSOME, actually, I am very glad I was actually there to witness and enjoy it. This was right after they incorporated that Jim O'Rourke fellow into the band, so there were five of them on stage. What happened was that the drummer clicked 'one, two, three, four' with his sticks, and he, O'Rourke and Ranaldo started playing this or that song, while Moore and Gordon began playing another song. This went on for two or three seconds at the very most, and then utter silence all of a sudden; even the crowd -about 5000 of us- were also in complete silence....... imagine the look on their faces...... After that, they all huddled up around Shelley for a quick moment, and went stright into playing 100%, which made everybody there scream their heads off in exitement. They really know how to keep a crowd on their feet........

Warped Tour when it was at Comerica park. About 2 hours after they opened the gates they ran out of water. and the parking lot was WAY too small. A couple of bands actually got lost and never showed up. Very dissappointing

Overall, every show I've been too, I have loved but I have seen some bad sets. Fuel for one. They opened for Aerosmith and they were awful. Megadeath played one of the worst sets I ever saw. Kid Rock was hideous which was no surprise to me. I didn't expect anything good from him anyway, but Megadeath and Fuel were letdowns. Mudvayne! WTF!!!! They "played" for 25 minutes on the Merry Mayhem Tour and I wanted to hang myself after three. There's another group who doesn't know when to shut up and keep their thoughts to themselves. All they did was preach. I sat thru a couple of local no name bands as opening acts which were just painful and Saliva sucked when I saw them. And one year I saw Skid Row minus Sebastian and that was dreadful. Probably one of the worst I've ever seen.

ZZ Top and the Black Crowes
The Black Crowes got fired or something right before the show, so some no name opened instead.
Then, ZZ Top performed. I'm not sure, if it was even them.....with the beards and sunglasses and hats. Couldn't tell if they were singing or lipsynching either. They never even changed positioning.
To top it all, I got puked on by some drunk.

Lou Reed back in the late 80's. Fell asleep for a few songs then got up and left. Good thing I got the tickets for free.

Franz ferdinand when they came with Death Cab. Death Cab was amazing but Franz just sucked. Or another one that sticks out was Yellowcard with Rock Kills Kid. Yellowcard was good other than the fact they didn't play any of their older music but Rock Kills Kid was horrible.

Neil Young ~ He didn't sing any of his old tunes. All but one or two were new songs. THEN...
My two friends and bf all got way to drunk. My bf thew up all aver himself and the chair. All I had was one tissue to try and clean it up and the lady in front of me had one napkin. My bf (ex bf now) refused to let me drive. Once we got on the road I threatened to throw my engagement ring out the window if he didn't pull over and let me take over because he was all over the road. We finally pulled over and switched. I got him home gave him his ring and called a cab to get back to my place.
FUN NIGHT eh???
