you must be about 30 weeks!!!!
yes. This is caused by your baby trying to practice breathing. But because there is no air, there is only amniotic fluid. This will not hurt anything. It is actually very good. enjoy the feeling of life in you no matter what. It is weird, but thats your baby.
Your Baby's Development
Now weighing about 3 pounds (1,400 grams) and measuring about 10.8 inches (27 cm) from crown to rump, your baby continues to gain weight and layers of fat. This fat makes the baby look less wrinkly and will help provide warmth after birth.
In preparation for respiration after birth, your baby will mimic breathing movements by repeatedly moving the diaphragm. Your baby can even get the hiccups, which you may feel as rhythmic twitches in your uterus.

Yes they can. When I was pregnant with my 10 month old she has the hiccups all the time and I mean every day. So far at 23 weeks with my second this one has not had hiccups.

Yes! My son always had hicups while in utero, especially when I had anything with nuts or milk chocolate. It used to appear like repeated, rhythmic kicking, that would last anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. I was able to feel it ALL -- the movement is truly rhythmic and steady (as opposed to regulalr fetal movements).
Now, what IS important, is to log down when he/she has hiccups in utero. It could be a sign of a food allergy.
Case in Point:
My son has severe food allergies to nuts and dairy. His allergist says that is is NOT a coincidence. Allergies develop in utero, as the baby is exposed to allergens like dairy and nuts as these allergens ross the placenta into the child's bloodstream.
Good luck, and keep this in mind. Some good articles below.

Yes I remember being strapped to a monitor and actually hearing her hiccup. It was a really cool thing. Hiccups are good for babies it means they are growing.

Absolutley and it feels real funny when they do. My twins did that all the time and it felt like a little opera! Enjoy it while you can. Also if you have the money I would invest in the one thing.... shot I cant think of it right of the top of my hand, but it records the babys heart beats but it also record like little sounds. It is a really good thing to have and it dont cost that much at all! I think I bought one at walmart for like 35.00 came with a tape and everything. It really is nice to have for memories. Because you r only pregnet for about 9 months but memories they last a life time. I highly recomend it! Good Luck

Yes, they get hiccups a lot. But don't worry, they don't feel discomfort or anything. It's just the way they get used to using their digestive organs

Yes! It is so funny too:) When I first felt them with my son, I thought he was doing rhythmic kicking. I asked the doctor about it and she said, "Well, He's either doing a little early training to be a dancer or their HICCUPS" I felt a little blonde;)
