Yes they do. It is a shame this has happened. We are a tolorant Christian country founded on Christian principals. All these fruits and nuts will tell you different because they are mis informed. The Declaration of independence references God- Here it is

"When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

The first amendment of the constitution says:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

No where in any of these documents does it state that we are a Godless country. We are a tolerant Christian country that is being taken advantage of and raped by Godless athiests and Muslims

People fail to recognize it because it is not true.
The original inhabitants were natives and had their own beliefs. The first Europeans to show up here were most likely vikings with Nordic beliefs. The land was then aggressively occupied by settlers claiming to be fleeing from religious persecution but as many facts of history will indicate the real reason the country was settled was profit.
If the people that settled here were such strong Christians was has happened to their beliefs, currently we are NOT a christian country.
Spend a couple of nights in Washington DC, Vegas, LA or New York and tell me people are living the christian lifestyle there.

I believe you are off by about 150yrs, sorry.

genuinely not. in basic terms by way of fact Democrats are working each little thing for the 1st time in many years does not propose something. Wow! You gained an Election! people will submit to in concepts why Democrats should not be in value for the period of the subsequent election. the standard public of people are to the properly suited of center. procedures to even team Palin, Gingrich and Santorum in with Phelps, Taggart and Craig shows in basic terms how out of touch the Left extremely is. that's it, carry on the thumbs down. you comprehend i'm precise.

The Untited States is not a Christian Country, just take a good honest look around. The immorality,the crime,the divorce rate,the ungodly,the greed,the drug epidemic,the lies and corruption. Very sad indeed.

US is a Christian country, but being so, Christians need to learn to accept other beliefs as well, as long as we are still the melting pot of the world, so to speak.

even Americans don't realize it anymore. now America is a free country where every religion is welcome the religion is not christianity. eventhough Christianity and the desire to worship freely is the reason Europeans left their homeland.
