Try a low calory diet for a month with only fruits and vegetables it will surely give results.
Running can be very effective for losing weight because fat from all of your body is burnt at the same time.
And most of all, be patient with whatever you do and sick to your plan for a reasonable period.

Really the only way to keep off weight that you lose is to eat less and exercise. The problem most of the time is not losing it but keeping it off. This has to become a way of life, eating less not denying any kind of food but just less of everything and be consist ant in your exercise because that raises your metabolism which burns up the calories faster that you consume.

Keep watching what you eat
But also start an exercise routine (with a new baby you will be running all over the place anyway)
Just keep on it, and serious about it, and it will come off naturally.
Stay clear of fad diets or quick fixes, they will not work for you in the long run

start with 30 crunches in the morning, 30 in the evening, if you feel like you can do more, do more. don't eat a lot at one time, cut out ALL sugars and starch for 14 days, walk often and I know this sounds crazy but buy one of those sauna belts, exercise in it and if you can stand it sleep in it for 14 days. Also, buy a corsage, girdle, something that will hold your tummy in tight - it helps shape the muscles in your stomach (14 days) and wear it as much as you can. GOOD LUCK!!

You need to burn more calories than you take in. Burn 3500 extra calories and you lose a pound. You have to cut back on calories because it will take 6 hours of jogging to lose a pound.
