Strictly speaking five.
But overseas users in SA can get away with using 4 or 6 dependent on their own cards.

Varies from bank to bank. I have an ABSA card with 4 numbers and a Standard Bank Card with 5 numbers.

hi

south africa only has four numbers in the pin and like most parts of the world you can change it to your own choice.

My SA ATM numbers are all 5 digits. The ones I use in UK are all 4

Think they issue you with a number and you can change to whatever you want to.
