Far too much. I now can't watch an extended CGI sequence without picturing some actor posturing in front of a blue/green screen; then I just switch off!

They rely on CGI to cover up poor directing most of the time. Looking back on film prior CGI and they are just as good if not better. CGI should only be used when there are no other options left to the director not the 1st. CGI is costly making the film companies increase DVD costs for the general public.

I think so. Think about movies like Jurassic Park. If that movie was made today, you know all the dinosaurs would be CGI. They made the T-Rex into a life size robot. I personally think that is what makes movies movies. The actors can actually look the figues in the eye instead of standing in front of a green screen.

Definitely! If it's too obvious (ie recent 'Star Wars' episodes), it's painful to watch. I get distracted looking for errors in CGI than paying attention to the movie. A lot of the current 'cartoons' or childrens films are giving me a headache. The market's too saturated.

YES! I prefer more traditional effects. It get's really boring after a while, when it is used in absolutely every movie. I understand that sometimes it is necessary and it looks good, one of my favorite CGI characters was General Grievous in Star Wars Episode 3, in particular the fight scene with Obi Wan

Absolutely! Just look at the new "Star Wars" stuff. It has lost all the grittiness of the first three, which actually added to the credibility of the plot. And as for that gross rabbit steppinfetchit-I'm the cute bit- barf barfbarahhhhhhhhhfuh. I think some CG is good though. Good question.

Yes definitely !
The last Pierce Brosnan Bond film was ruined for me by really crappy CGI.
And don't even get me started on what George Lucas did to the re-released Star Wars films. Thank heaven you can now buy the original ones on DVD....

It is used way to much. The Hulk was ruined by it. A nice balance would be good but then that is all relative, isn't it?
