You could be. Some women have a short period when they are first pregnant because the level of hormones is not high enough for the body to realize that it is pregnant. Give yourself another month before you go to the doctor to make sure. Sometimes the body does some strange things because of physcial activity or stress. If you are trying to get pregnant have sex every day not just the week before your period but the whole month before your period.

You are trying for a baby, I hope you are married. Seem like you do not know anything about how to have a baby. Your first day of period came on Sunday, you are not likely to get pregnant because it is not your fertile period. Fertile period normally fall on the seven to the fourteen day from the first day of your period. The most fertile is when you feel you have white discharge from your vaginal. Alternatively you can also monitor your temperature using a thermometer starting from the seventh day. You will notice the temperature goes higher everyday until it start to fall. The day when the temperature starting falling, it is also an indication that the fertile period is yesterday or on that day.
To get pregnant, sometime it is not only depend on the female. The male sperm also has to play a part. The sperm must be strong and mobility to swim up to your uterus to meet your fertile egg. If the male sperm is weak, then probably he has to see a urology to get advise on how to improve the sperm count.
Monitor yourself during the next menstral period, if it do not come after three to five days, go to the pharmacy to buy a urine pregancy test stripe to test whether it is positive or negative. If it is pos. then go and visit a gynaecologist to confirm your pregnancy.
Hope this help.

I would take a pregnancy test or call your doctor to find out. Women have had their period and been pregnant also. Good luck.

So, you got a new Y!A name, did ya? If you can't afford to go to the doctor to find out if you are pregnant, then perhaps you are too broke to have a baby.
