Not abused, but exposed to it prematurely as a child and now finds the idea almost disgusting and perverse.

I am told by reliable source (a male therapist who also had this experience in his own life) that it takes practice practice practice. Take it easy. A truly committed relationship would be best for this. You may need a little counseling, maybe not. This would be true regardless of the source of trauma.

In order for a person who was sexually assaulted/abused to feel okay with sex again they need a very understanding partner and the time to take it slow. There may be lots of starts and stops but eventually there will come a time when they can get past it. It may take therapy and meds for some cases but if the desire is there then they can make it work.
