Many jewelry stores offer the option to buy the chain by the inch. Just walk in and ask if they offer custom length chains.

However, many of them ask that you allow them to do the work to turn your chain into the jewelry of your choice (necklace, bracelet, etc...)

The jewellery quarter in Birmingham actually manufacture the chains and can make them to any specification

I know if you go to Wembley market they have a stall that sells jewellery by the inch. if not try you own local market

try a London department store, it may not sound likely, but it is true. also if you try some of the in dependant jewelry stores, they do it too
