Yes. DC had theirs numbered as "Collectors Edition" or CE.

They put out around 100 of them. I have several, and can follow the numbering sequence.

They started as reprints of old stories, but got to where they had original content.

And as someone else mentioned, they were the format for some DC/Marvel crossover stories (Superman vs Spiderman (w/ help from WW and Hulk) and at least one other.)

I guess they are the original "Trade Paperbacks" (TPB). And they are listed as such on ebay.

Yeah the Marvel Treasury editions were cool as they reprinted some great stories in an oversized format--And they still only cost under $2 back then!! DC had some also that reprinted stories from the 40's!

COOL CONCEPT--Dc did a few JLA issues that size a few years ago AND there was a MArvel/DC issue were the FANTASTIC 4 met Superman!

You talking about the Marvel Graphic Novels? Or did you mean the one that DC did that were like 20 by 14, that looked more like newspapers? DC did some of those in that size that were like Superman Vs. Spiderman and Batman Vs. The Hulk. They also did one for Legion of Superheroes, that I remember. I know they did a few others but which titles escape me for the moment. So Yeah I think I remember those....

I believe the Marvel ones were called: The Marvel Treasury Editions. The DC ones I'm not sure of, but yeah, I sure remember those!

They were called Marvel Treasury Editions and I used to have the Star Wars #1. They might be worth something if they are still in mint condition.

Most of the really huge ones were done by DC for their heroes versus series. Superman vs Shazam, Superman vs Wonder Woman were the two that I collected. Hopefully that helped.
